Comparison of Japanese exams

Today, I would like to introduce to you the seven Japanese language exams officially approved by the Immigration!
1 Exam name:Japanese Language Proficiency Test(JLPT)
Summary:The Japanese Language Proficiency Test is the world's largest Japanese language test with a history started in 1984 by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services Association (currently the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services Association).

It is the most famous Japanese language test, you can use it for both going on to school and getting a job. If you are a Japanese learner, this is a test that you absolutely must take. However, there are only two chances to take the exam, July and December each year, so it is better to prepare for the exam properly before taking the exam.
2 Exam name:J.TEST Practical Japanese Test
Summary:The J.TEST Practical Japanese Test has been conducted since 1991, and about 60,000 people, including office workers and international students, take the test every year.The exam is held 6 times a year.

There is a lot of business Japanese content, this is a Japanese test that Japanese companies and organizations often use. It is held six times a year, so it is recommended that you take the test when you need proof of the Japanese Language Test immediately, such as when you apply for employment or study abroad.
3 Exam name:Japanese NAT-TEST
Summary:The Japanese NAT-TEST comprehensively evaluates Japanese proficiency through tests in the three fields of "vocabulary," "listening," and "reading."
The composition of the test is almost the same as the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Conducted 6 times a year.

4 Exam name:Certificate of Japanese as a Foreign Language Test(J-cert)
Summary:Certificate of Japanese as a Foreign Language Test is a useful exam for studying abroad, training, and finding employment in Japan.

Taking the highest grade C2 (MASTER) exam, you can measure Japanese conversation ability that cannot be evaluated by other exams, so it is recommended for those who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1.
5 Exam name:STBJ【Standard Test for Business Japanese, Standard business Japanese test】
Summary:STBJ [Standard Test for Business Japanese] has been implemented since 2007. Since it can measure business Japanese proficiency, it is also used by students who wish to find employment or study abroad.

This is a Japanese test that can measure your business Japanese proficiency, so it is recommended for those who are thinking of getting a job at a Japanese company.
However, please note that the number of countries / regions that are actually implemented is relatively small.
6 Exam name:BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test
Summary:BJT is a test to measure the ability of Japanese communication required in Japanese business society. This is a Japanese test that you can take on your computer using the local test center.

There is no fixed date, and you can take the test at the test center at any time of the year (and you can see the grades on the same day), so it is recommended for busy people who do not have time.
7 Exam name:TOPJ Practical Japanese Language Proficiency Test
Summary:TOPJ Practical Japanese Language Proficiency Test is a test developed by experts and professors who are active in the field of Japanese language education and emphasizes understanding of Japanese culture.

From beginner C to advanced A, this test evaluates the test taker's Japanese proficiency in 10 levels, so it is recommended for those who want to know in detail how much their Japanese proficiency.
The above seven Japanese language exams are officially approved by the Immigration of Japan, Only at levels equivalent to or higher than the N5 level of the JLPT Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Please note that it can be used to apply for study abroad as a proof of Japanese proficiency.
