In order to help students measure their Japanese language proficiency level and set goals, TCJ offers a program that allows students to take the JLPT for up to two free exams during their time at TCJ (11,000 JPY worth of exam fees will be paid by the school). Regardless of one's learning objectives or career path, improving Japanese language skills is a necessary prerequisite for students to achieve their long-term goals. For example, even if your goal is to go on to higher education, if you neglect to build up your basic Japanese language skills, even if you have a high level of examination techniques, you will not get the results you want, and you will not be able to reach your desired career path. The JLPT exam is essential for students who are considering employment in the future in Japan, and TCJ supports students to make a qualitative leap forward in their Japanese language skills while they are still in TCJ. Students who pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) will be eligible for TCJ's scholarship program. TCJ aim for all students to have N1 or N2 by the time of graduation.
