Part-time job support
TCJ provides part-time job information and information sessions for part-time job registration. The main purpose of the students who has student visa is to study at a Japanese school. Part-time work is not part of their studies, so they will be engaging in activities outside of their status of residence. If you apply for a permit to engage in activities other than those permitted under the status of residence, you will be able to work part-time. You can work up to 28 hours a week. Generally, the hourly wage in Tokyo is around 1013-1,300 yen (depending on the types of the work and hours). You can choose from a variety of part-time jobs such as convenience stores, fast food restaurants, restaurants, hotel staff, etc., depending on your level of Japanese. We have part-time job fairs at any time, and in some cases, you can register for part-time jobs within the school.

Application for Permission to Engage in Activities Outside the Status of Residence
You can apply at the immigration at the airport on the day you arrive in Japan. If you want to apply later, you need to prepare the following documents at the immigration office. Passport, Residence card, Student ID card, Application for permission to engage in activities other than those permitted under the status of residence.
