On August 29th, Tokyo Central Japanese Language Institute held its annual student speech contest. The event was split into morning and afternoon sessions, with a total of 18 students participating. Each student competed in 2-minute, 3-minute, and 5-minute speech categories.

During this exciting competition, the students demonstrated impressive speaking skills and a strong command of the Japanese language. Despite the challenges of a non-native language, each speaker delivered their heartfelt thoughts and emotions fluently in Japanese.

Their hard work was well rewarded, with the first-place winner receiving a pair of Disney resort tickets! This was a well-deserved recognition of their dedication and outstanding performance.

The energy in the room was contagious, with the audience of students and teachers enthusiastically cheering on the participants. Some classes even brought creative banners to show their support, creating an atmosphere of unity and encouragement that inspired each speaker.

This speech contest was not just a showcase of language ability, but also a reflection of each student’s journey to pursue their dreams in a foreign land. As they stood on the stage, they bravely shared their unique stories and emotions.
