Q. What kind of career path did you take after graduating from TCJ? Also, please tell us the reason why you chose your career path.
I entered the Department of Applied Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science. I had been interested in cancer research since high school, and I wanted to study in a department related to life sciences. At this University, there is a laboratory for researching what I wanted to study, so I believe it is the idol university for me. So even if the high level of difficulty to enter it, I decided to challenge. I would do my best to make my dream come true.
Q. What are your goals and dreams for the future? Please be as specific as possible.
In the future, I want to be a cancer researcher. I want to join the Cancer Research Institute and contribute to cancer research around the world with other members. There are still many people suffering from cancer all over the world and also many kinds of cancers that are difficult to treat. such as pancreatic cancer, which is difficult to detect early and has a low survival rate. As a researcher, I want to fight these diseases.
Q. Please give some advice to students who will join TCJ in the future and current students based on your experience.
TCJ has a free study room. I used to use the study room when I was studying for exams, I can use it from morning to night and the environment is great. The teachers at TCJ are very kind. When I was depressed, they always told me "You can do it if you do it, XX-san". They helped me a lot by giving me advice about things other than my studies.
