Q.What kind of career path did you take after graduating from TCJ? Also, please tell us the reason why you chose your career path.
I entered the graduate school of the University of Tokyo as a research student. I chose the Cultural Anthropology course based on my graduation thesis at university. I am not yet sure whether or not I will continue with this assignment in the future, but I would like to proceed with my social research after I have a firm understanding and grasp of data analysis methods. At the moment I am still working hard on my summer exams and am working hard to become an official graduate student in the future.

Q.What are your goals and dreams for the future? Please be as specific as possible.
Not long ago, I had a goal for my life. It was to finish my PhD and to become a university professor. But now it's a little different, because I think that if you are too attached to one goal, you may not see other possibilities in your life. I may still choose to pursue research in the future, but I aim to be a little more proactive in exploring all possibilities.

Q.Please give some advice to students who will join TCJ in the future and current students based on your experience.
I want you to make sure you take advantage of the half days you don't have classes. I think it's good to keep yourself in a position to gain new knowledge and skills every day. It is important to take your classes at TCJ, but if there is something you've always wanted to study or read since you were a kid, I encourage you to do those things as well. These things are more important than taking exams as an adult. Through such self-enlightenment, you may get more valuable experience than Japanese language classes.
