SENIOR VOICE

I entered the Department of International Culture and Communication in the Faculty of Letters at Toyo University. I was interested in helping international students integrate into Japanese life, so I decided to enroll in a department that offered classes to help me learn about this. In actual classes, I am learning how to communicate with people from around the world, including Japan. Nowadays, the number of international students coming to Japan is increasing, and I am very interested in whether they can really integrate into Japanese life and how we can help them to do so. I would like to continue my research in this field in the future.

I want to be a Japanese language teacher in the future. It is not easy for international students to integrate into Japanese life. They are going to a country other than their home country for the first time, so it is not easy for them to get used to it, and it is not easy for them live in Japan without knowing anything about politeness and customs. I would like to teach foreign students about the differences in such field and support them to acquire the ability to communicate well with Japanese people.

From the time I entered TCJ, the classes were divided base on the different future goals and Japanese levels, which made it very easy for me to learn Japanese and prepare for higher education. Since August 2019, I have been talking with my teachers almost every day and discussing with them about higher education. I am grateful to my teachers for their kindness in teaching me, and the results of my efforts at TCJ will surely lead to my future. Please do your best.
