Lesson Time
This intensive JLPT preparation course is designed for busy professionals who want to maximize their study time and achieve results efficiently. Rather than simply teaching grammar and vocabulary, the course develops the ability to apply your knowledge quickly and accurately under exam conditions—transforming “I understand” into “I can answer immediately.” Lessons integrate grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening while helping you recognize common JLPT question patterns and master effective test-taking strategies. Through structured practice combined with guided self-study, you will strengthen your speed, accuracy, and decision-making skills, giving you the confidence and ability to pass the JLPT.

Set Your JLPT Goal with a Traditional Japanese Daruma
In Japan, there is a long-standing tradition of using a Daruma doll when setting a goal. You paint one eye when you make your commitment, and fill in the other eye once your goal has been achieved. In this course, you’ll paint the first eye of your Daruma during the first class as you declare your personal goal and commitment to passing the JLPT. When you achieve your goal, you’ll complete the Daruma by painting the second eye—a meaningful symbol of your hard work and success. Along the way, you’ll study alongside classmates who share the same goal, encouraging and motivating one another on the journey to JLPT success.

All students receive free access to Hiraku Nihongo, TCJ’s original video-based learning program.
Developed and supervised by TCJ’s professional instructors, this unique material focuses on real-life situations and natural conversation scenes. Each video is paired with grammar explanations so you can clearly understand how Japanese is used in everyday and workplace contexts.
You can also practice on your own through shadowing, making it effective for improving speaking skills.
Use Hiraku Nihongo for quick preparation and review to strengthen what you learn in class.
*The “Hiraku Nihongo” textbooks are available up to the N1 level and can also be used for grammar study.
*TCJ students can use this service free of charge.
