The program is broadly divided into the Academic Preparation Course and the Career Preparation Course. In the Academic Preparation Course, students can choose a course according to their goals, such as graduate school, university, or vocational school. In all courses, students aim to reach CEFR B2 level (equivalent to JLPT N2) by graduation. The Study Abroad Course is for students who wish to obtain a student visa for up to 2 years to enter a university, graduate school, vocational school, etc., or to find employment in Japan. TCJ also offers job placement services. TCJ is also a job placement agency and provides job information and job hunting support for international students.
3. Range of Class Levels
As a general rule, students’ initial class placement is determined based on their Japanese proficiency level at the time of application. Students will begin at either the beginner level (JLPT N5–N4) or the pre-intermediate level (N3). Depending on the enrollment period, students may be able to start only at the beginner level, so please contact us in advance for details.
After enrollment, the curriculum is designed to help students reach CEFR B2 level or above (equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher) by the time they graduate. The program aims to develop students’ overall proficiency to a high level across five language activities: speaking (presentation and interaction), listening, reading, and writing.
4. Extensive Learning Support During Enrollment
At TCJ, we provide robust learning support for international students in addition to regular classes. This includes video lectures that are synchronized with textbooks for efficient preparation and review, special classes led by unique and engaging instructors, and private one-on-one lessons (available for an additional fee).
5. Academic and Career Guidance
Academic and career guidance begins from the first year after enrollment. Every semester, students have an individual counseling session with their homeroom teacher. Based on their current Japanese proficiency and future goals, students work with their teacher to develop an appropriate study plan and examination schedule.

6. Support for Daily Life and Part-Time Work
At TCJ, we have dedicated staff members who provide comprehensive support for study-abroad life, including assistance with visas, daily living, and part-time jobs. Students can seek advice anytime regarding their studies, career advancement, or living situation.
Our multinational staff are equipped to offer multilingual support, ensuring that even students who are still learning Japanese can receive assistance in their native language.
TCJ organizes workshops, such as resume-writing seminars, to help students who have just arrived in Japan and may not yet feel confident in their Japanese skills. We also provide part-time job support, including introductions to job opportunities and hosting recruitment seminars with hiring companies.

One of the highlights is the large annual speech contest, where students showcase the Japanese language skills they have developed through their studies. In addition to international exchange events unique to TCJ’s multinational student community, students can also enjoy many seasonal events throughout the year, including Hatsumode (New Year shrine visits), Setsubun, Hinamatsuri, Tanabata, Halloween, and Christmas.
8. TCJ’s ICT Education
To enhance learning outcomes, TCJ provides a comprehensive ICT learning environment:
- Digital Textbooks: All textbooks are digitized.
- E-Learning Support: E-learning materials are included up to the N3 level.
- Personalized Student Portals: Each student is assigned a personal portal, accessible with an ID and password. Through this portal, students can access school and class information, as well as apply for various certificates.
- Google Classroom Integration: Students can use their own PC, tablet, or smartphone to access and utilize Google Classroom for their studies.
9. Housing and Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available exclusively for students at the school.If desired, students can apply to live in the student dormitory.
