TCJ Welcomes New July-Term Students on Tanabata

On July 7, 2026, TCJ held an entrance ceremony to welcome its new students for the July term.

The ceremony took place on Tanabata, one of Japan’s traditional festivals. For the students who had just joined TCJ, the day also marked an important new beginning as they took their first step into life as international students in Japan.

Every student comes to Japan with a different goal.

Some hope to further improve their Japanese and build a strong foundation for their studies and daily life.
Some aim to enter the university or graduate school of their choice.
Others hope to find employment in Japan and build a career of their own.

With their individual goals and expectations in mind, each new student took a new step forward at TCJ.

Life as an international student in Japan offers much more than studying Japanese. Students will also prepare for further education and employment while gaining a wide range of experiences and meeting new people through their daily lives in Japan.

We sincerely hope that, as they continue to learn and grow in their new environment, the hopes and goals they had upon entering TCJ will gradually take shape.

Congratulations to all our new students joining us for the July term!
