CLUB TCJ Sake Event Held!
A Friday Evening Bringing Together a Diverse Community
On Friday, May 22, 2026, “CLUB TCJ Sake Event” was held at TCJ Tokyo School. Around 50 people attended, including students as well as their family members, friends, and colleagues. Participants came from a wide range of backgrounds—engineers, models, embassy staff, journalists, designers, and more—making for a truly diverse and vibrant gathering.^^
Big Fun with Sake Tasting and Quiz!
We had a fantastic time enjoying sake tasting and a lively sake quiz!
This time, our special guest was MAKSIM-san from Russia, who is currently studying in our Evening Class. As he works at a sake store and has extensive knowledge of Japanese sake, he gave us an engaging presentation on the world of sake. From what sake is to how it is enjoyed, participants learned a lot—and of course, everyone also had the chance to enjoy a sake tasting experience! 👏🍶
To keep the excitement going, we held a fun “How Much Do You Know About Sake?” quiz. Some of the questions were surprisingly challenging, even for sake lovers!
With glasses of sake or juice in hand, participants shared stories about their jobs, Japanese language learning journeys, and experiences from their home countries. It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, learning, and meaningful cultural exchange✨
Crossing Nationalities and Generations
Japanese, Hindi, English, and Chinese could be heard throughout the venue, as participants ranging from their 20s to 50s enjoyed interacting with one another. Students from different classes, who normally wouldn’t have the chance to meet, connected during the event. Some exchanged business cards, while others took commemorative photos together, clearly enjoyed building new friendships.
