2-Year Career Preparation Course
This is a two-year program designed for students who aim to find employment in Japan. Students develop their Japanese language skills step by step, from basic to advanced levels, while building the practical Japanese communication skills needed in the workplace, as well as the communication and interpersonal skills necessary to establish trusting relationships with others.
In this program, students learn about job hunting in Japan and Japanese companies according to their preferred industries and occupations. They also work on preparing application documents and practicing for interviews, developing the ability to communicate their strengths and future goals effectively.
In the first year, students begin with the fundamentals, such as everyday conversation and reading short texts, and gradually improve their practical Japanese language skills (CEFR A1–B1 level). They deepen their understanding of working styles and job-hunting practices in Japan while developing the ability to express their experiences and career aspirations in Japanese.
In the second year, students develop the ability to understand news and social topics and to communicate their ideas logically (CEFR B2 level). Through company research, preparation of application documents, interview practice, and other activities, they also build practical skills that can be applied after entering the workforce.
At TCJ, we support students from Japanese language study through job preparation, helping them develop the ability to proactively build their own careers.

Qualifications for Admission
Applicants must have passed the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at N5 level or above, or have at least 150 hours of Japanese language study, and must have graduated from a university and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree.
Applicants who graduated from a university outside Japan must have an educational background recognized as equivalent to graduation from a university in Japan. Admission will be determined based on an interview and the prescribed screening process.
School Hours
*There are two types of classes: morning and afternoon classes, and students will study at one of these times depending on their year and class level.
*Classes are held from Monday to Friday. There are no classes on Japanese national holidays or school holidays.

*TCJ’s original high-level private lessons are available for those who want to improve their Japanese language skills and enter a high-level school.
VIP Private Lesson
In addition to the regular study abroad program, this course allows you to take 1-on-1 lessons with a professional Japanese language instructor during your enrollment. It is ideal for those who want extra lessons on top of standard classes to ensure they achieve their desired career goals.
Along with your classroom homeroom teacher, you will be assigned a dedicated personal instructor. By combining three hours of daily class lessons with five or more hours of weekly private lessons, we will create a tailored schedule to help you realize your future plans.

Process for Admission
Enrollment is available four times a year, in April, July, October and January.
If you start in April, you can study abroad for up to two years. Please select an entrance period that allows you to develop your Japanese language skills enough to prepare for your desired higher education or employment.

Please fill out the inquiry form and send it to us.

You will be interviewed in person or online with a TCJ Student Affairs staff member. Tell us as specific a goal as possible about your desired career path.

Complete and submit all necessary documents to TCJ and transfer the application fee to the school.

TCJ will apply for a “Certificate of Eligibility” on behalf of the applicant to the Immigration Bureau.

After examination by the Immigration Bureau, TCJ will receive the applicant’s Certificate of Eligibility.

We will issue an invoice for tuition fees.

After confirming the payment, TCJ will send the applicant a Certificate of Entrance and a Certificate of Eligibility.

Applicants are required to apply for and obtain a student visa at the Japanese embassy or consulate in their home country.

Before coming to Japan, you will prepare for your life and proceed with the booking of your airplane ticket.

Your study abroad life has begun!
You will come to Japan with a student visa and will be granted “student” visa status when you enter the country. You can work part-time for up to 28 hours per week if you get a permit to engage in part-time work. At the time of visa renewal, a certain level of attendance is required.

*All documents must be issued within three months of the date of application. (In case of overseas issuance, a special exception is possible within 6 months.)
*All non-Japanese documents must have a Japanese or English translation.
*You may be asked to submit additional documents during the admission selection process or during the review of the Certificate of Eligibility by the Immigration Bureau.
