How long have you been living in Japan?

6 years

How long have you learned at TCJ?

1 year

Which course are you taking?

Evening Business Class

Before enrolling, what was your biggest challenge when learning Japanese?

My biggest challenge was communicating in Japanese. I could study grammar and vocabulary, but it was difficult to understand native speakers and express what I wanted to say in real conversations. I often lacked the confidence to speak because I was afraid of making mistakes.

Why did you choose TCJ out of all the schools?

I chose TCJ because the class schedule was suitable for people who work full-time. It allowed me to continue working while studying Japanese, which was very important for me. The evening classes made it possible to balance both work and study.

Please share a specific example of a time when, after taking a TCJ class, you felt that “my Japanese was understood!” or “I’ve improved!”

Recently, I have been attending job interviews in Japanese, and I can clearly see my progress. I am able to understand more of the questions, answer with greater confidence, and communicate my work experience more effectively. This has made me feel that my Japanese is improving and that people can understand me better than before.

On top of that, when I sat for the JLPT N3 exam, I found the listening section incredibly easy to get through. The listening practice we did in class trained my ears so well that I could easily keep up with the natural speed of the exam audio without feeling overwhelmed.

What do you like most about the teacher’s teaching style and the class atmosphere?

I especially like my Tuesday teacher. I can see how much effort she puts into every class, and it really makes a difference. She is an excellent teacher who explains things clearly, encourages students to participate, and creates a comfortable atmosphere where I feel confident asking questions and speaking Japanese.

Please share a message for those who are still undecided about enrolling.

If you work full-time and are still thinking about enrolling, I highly recommend TCJ. The class schedule is ideal for people with full-time jobs, making it possible to balance work and studying Japanese. It helped me continue improving my Japanese without giving up my career.
