CLUB TCJ Origami Event Held!

[Many Students Experienced Origami for the First Time]

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the “CLUB TCJ Origami Event” was held at TCJ Tokyo School. Approximately 25 students participated, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Since it was the first time many participants had tried origami, the room was filled with excitement and curiosity.

[Spring-Themed Tulip Origami]

Ms. Dozono, who is our Japanese language instructor, guided us through the origami process. Tulips were chosen because they are currently in season. First, participants selected two sheets of origami paper—one for the flower and one for the leaves. With so many different types and colors of paper available, each person’s combination was unique and beautiful.

[Origami Is Harder Than It Looks!]

In addition to simple “mountain folds” and “valley folds,” many participants found the more intricate folding steps quite challenging. If the steps were not followed precisely, the final shape would not turn out well. Though some parts were difficult, all participants accomplished their tulips by the end!

[Voices from Participants]

Participants shared comments such as, “It was difficult, but fun,” and “I really like the color combination I chose.”

The event ended in a lively and heartwarming atmosphere.
Thank you very much to everyone who joined us!
