This evening program is designed for working adults with limited study time who want to build practical Japanese skills for both daily life and work.
Starting with essential vocabulary and grammar, students learn commonly used expressions through interactive activities.
From the beginner–intermediate level, learners study JLPT-aligned vocabulary and strengthen communication skills through output-focused training.
*Kanji characters are also studied in the beginner level class.
*Commuting and online classes are both available, so those who wish to reduce travel time, those living in Japan, and those living overseas can take classes together.
Level-Based Class Placement
Classes are organized by level to ensure the best fit for each learner:
・Zero Beginner (starting from hiragana and katakana)
・Beginner (N5 level)
・Beginner–Intermediate (N4 level)
・Intermediate (N3 level)
・Advanced (N2 level)
・Super Level (N1 and above)
* JLPT preparation is included in the classes starting from the N3 level.
* Kanji is studied from the beginner level.
* Both on-campus and online attendance are available, allowing students in Japan or overseas to participate while reducing travel time if needed.
Admission Requirements
Residents of Japan: Open to anyone with a visa to live in Japan.
Overseas Residents: Anyone with an online course environment is welcome to participate.
*Please note that we do not support visa arrangements.
Lesson Time
*Wednesday classes for N3 and above will be JLPT preparation classes.
*There will be no classes on national holidays in Japan or on school holidays set by the school.
TCJ Original Learning Materials: “Hiraku Nihongo”
All students receive free access to Hiraku Nihongo, TCJ’s original video-based learning program.
Developed and supervised by TCJ’s professional instructors, this unique material focuses on real-life situations and natural conversation scenes. Each video is paired with grammar explanations so you can clearly understand how Japanese is used in everyday and workplace contexts.
You can also practice on your own through shadowing, making it effective for improving speaking skills.
Use Hiraku Nihongo for quick preparation and review to strengthen what you learn in class.
*The content of the course is N3~N5 level.
CLUB TCJ
After enrollment, all students become members of CLUB TCJ.
CLUB TCJ provides opportunities not only to study Japanese, but also to connect with people from many countries through learning support and cultural experiences—all while using Japanese in real situations.
You can enjoy exclusive events and free special lectures offered only at TCJ, allowing you to experience Japanese beyond regular lessons.
Through these activities, TCJ supports you in making your life in Japan more comfortable and enjoyable.

Process for Admission
Enrollment is available from every Tuesday.

Please take the online level check test in advance. (about 5-10 minutes)

You will have a face-to-face or online interview with a TCJ staff member. Please be as specific as possible about your purpose for studying Japanese and your target Japanese level. Through the level check and interview, we will confirm your Japanese level and suggest the most suitable class.

We will determine the payment method for tuition fees.

After confirming the initial payment, classes will begin!
