Evening Business Class

Unable to master new grammar on my own, unsure which contexts to use the various vocabulary that I would try to self-study (e.g. 企画 v. 計画), inability to use language unrelated to my work in my daily life.

There were not many options for evening classes, especially ones that would allow me to attend mostly remotely (due to my physical distance from Central Tokyo). Additionally, TCJ’s reputation for quality language instruction won me over.

Before this, I was used to classes that covered too many grammar points (where I was unable to remember them soon afterwards), or too few (where too much time passed between learning grammar points that I would forget grammar over the course of the class). I really like TCJ’s pace of 2-4 grammar points per EB class, as I feel I’m actually retaining everything this time around.

I really like how the teachers are always willing to answer my questions (and I have a lot). Teachers not only are very encouraging when I ask questions, but on one instance when the teacher did not have the answer to one of my questions ready the same night, she included the answer to my question in her next class’s slide, which really moved me.

If you work full-time and have family commitments on the weekend, I don’t think you can find a better place to study Japanese at night than TCJ.
