How long have you been living in Japan?

1 year

How long have you learned at TCJ?

8 month

Which course are you taking?

Morning Intensive Class

Before enrolling, what was your biggest challenge when learning Japanese?

Before enrolling, my biggest challenge was constructing grammatically correct sentences, both in writing and speaking. Japanese grammar has so many different verb forms, nuances, and sentence structures, which made it really difficult for me to express what I actually wanted to say accurately

Why did you choose TCJ out of all the schools?

I chose TCJ because it offered the most appealing curriculum compared to other schools. My primary goal was to learn Japanese as quickly as possible, and your Intensive Course stood out as the best choice to help me achieve rapid progress in a structured environment

Please share a specific example of a time when, after taking a TCJ class, you felt that “my Japanese was understood!” or “I’ve improved!”

I actually have a few Japanese friends that I talk to. Shortly after I started studying at TCJ, they complimented me and noticed that my Japanese had genuinely improved. Beyond that, I’ve felt a huge boost in confidence in daily life, it became much easier for me to ask for help at front desks, handle everyday errands, and hold casual conversations without getting stuck.

What do you like most about the teacher’s teaching style and the class atmosphere?

What I like most about the teachers is their way of explaining things—they always make sure to ask if everyone understood or if we need further clarification, which is really thoughtful. As for the class atmosphere, it’s great because it doesn’t feel overly strict or like an old-fashioned school. The teachers create a modern, fun, and lively environment that makes learning genuinely enjoyable while still being very educational.

Please share a message for those who are still undecided about enrolling.

For those who are still undecided: I’d say give it a try, it’s truly worth a shot. It’s always best to see things for yourself rather than just guessing. Once you experience the classes firsthand, you’ll be able to make an informed choice, but TCJ is a great place to start.
