VIP Private Lessons

My biggest challenge was finding the right opportunities to push myself beyond my existing level and use more advanced Japanese. I felt comfortable using Japanese in everyday situations and could manage everything I needed in daily life without issue. However, this comfort became a barrier—I found it difficult to step outside my comfort zone and actively work to elevate my language ability. I often worried about making mistakes, and it was easy to rely on my baseline skills rather than challenge myself to progress further.

TCJ was chosen by my employer.

In one lesson that focused on conversation around a specific topic, I realized that I was able to express my thoughts fully and almost as quickly as they came into my head. I didn’t feel held back or overly conscious of my wording, and I could communicate my ideas clearly. This was largely thanks to the one-on-one practice format, which allowed me to speak freely without worrying about taking up time from other students. As a result, I felt a noticeable improvement in both my confidence and fluency.

My teacher is extremely receptive and flexible, which works especially well since I take my lessons during the work week. If there is a specific article or area I would like to focus on, I can let her know in advance. On days when work is particularly busy, however, I can simply join the lesson knowing that a thoughtful and well-structured lesson plan will already be prepared. This flexibility creates a relaxed, supportive class atmosphere while still ensuring that every lesson is productive and tailored to my needs.

It’s a great school that can accommodate your specific learning goals, whether you have a clear focus or prefer to leave it to the teachers to design a curriculum for you. Either way, you can be confident that the program is thoughtfully structured and will definitely help you improve. The teachers are very knowledgeable and experienced.
